FORSCHA: Munich science fair

Since 2019, the four Munich Clusters of Excellence have been presenting themselves together at FORSCHA and the Munich Science Days in the Transport Center of the Deutsches Museum. The joint booth offers exciting do-it-yourself experiments for young and young-at-heart science enthusiasts, a wealth of information about the clusters, and an exciting quiz with great prizes.

Mouse open day

Every year on October 3rd, the "Open the doors with the mouse!" allows children to visit labs and work places. Since 2022, the four Munich Clusters of Excellence have been presenting themselves together on WDR's Mouse Day and offering various hands-on activities especially for families with children up to 12 years of age.

Open day at TUM

ORIGINS regularly participates in the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Open House on the Garching research campus, where visitors gain insights into everyday research. The last Open House took place concurrently with the "Mouse Day" on October 3, 2024.

Open day that the LMU Faculty of Physics

The Faculty of Physics' Open Day is held regularly in the main building of LMU. Numerous booths present research and make it tangible. Here, you can learn about current issues in various fields of physics. The ORIGINS Cluster also presents its research in the fields of astrophysics, biophysics, and particle physics.
